APP Challenge
Dear School Owner
STEAMLEDGE TECH INNOVATORS COMPETITION 2022
We are inviting your school to participate in the Steamledge Tech Innovators competition. The aim of the competition is to spark tech creativity and innovation among young tech learners as Tech Innovators.
This competition will allow students’ teams to solve specific challenges and real-world issues through technology.
This Competition will give participating students the opportunity to think critically and work autonomously in teams infusing collaborative and social skills in them.
The Theme for this year’s competition is: “The Education App Challenge”, where students are expected to identify pressing challenges around education and come up with ideas and solutions to tackle in form of a Mobile App.
The Solution must answer any of these questions:
- How can technology boost the learning methods in the education system?
- How can technology be used to educate the society on any of the societal vices?
Live Submission and Presentation of Solutions will be holding on 10th December 2022.
Requirements for Participation
- Schools must make sure they register on our online platform not later than 5th November 2022
- Each school is expected to have maximum of 5 representatives
- Participating students must be students from JS 2-SS2
- Students must have access to a laptop
Mode of Grading
- Proof of work: Students will prove they did the work through, a short video clip showing students doing the work
- A pitch deck explaining the solution and its futuristic realization
- Submission and presentation of the final Mobile App which will be tested and screened by the Judges
- Judges will look out for Creativity, Innovative and Achievable solution.
Prizes to be Won
- First Prize Winner gets a cash prize of ₦100,000, first runner up gets a cash prize of ₦60,000, second runner up gets a cash prize of ₦40,000.
- Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all participants.
- One Year free mentorship for the 5 representatives of the winning school.
- Winning Solution will be re-build in partnership with Steamledge.
