NITDA Digital Economy Employability Programme (DEEP): How to Apply

The Digital Economy Employability Programme is a skill acquisition program organized by the Nigeria Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and sponsored by Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy (FMCDE) and Google.

The programme is themed “Driving inclusive digital adoption, optimization and connecting participants to deeper opportunity in digital economy.”

NITDA DEEP scheme is aimed at introducing and training over a one hundred and forty thousand individuals across the country (4,000 per state) in digitally recognized skills all for free. This is to help educate, connect and expose individuals to some of the potential career opportunities in the digital economy in various industries.

Participating individuals get to benefit free access to resources after the training for self-paced learning which will enable them take the Google Digital Skills certificate examination.

Individuals will also be guided on by professionally trained experts on every steps of the way though the self-paced training.

Benefiting from this training requires that you are eligible for the program as well as duly registered on NITDA DEEP registration portal.

We will walk you step by step one how to successfully register for the Digital Economy Employability Program (DEEP) but before then, ensure you adhere to the following criteria.

Application Requirements & Eligibilities

The following criteria qualifies you to register for program as a student;

• Applicants must be a beginner in Digital Economy with NO prior IT skill
• Individual must have interest in IT skill development
• Individual must be available for training in decided state of residence
• Ready to dedicate 2 hours daily for self-paced certication.

Having qualified for all the requirements outlined above, you can now proceed to register. Before then, ensure you apply before the application deadline date which is 30th November 21, 2022.

How to Apply

In order to apply for the Digital Economy Employability Programme (DEEP) scheme organized by NITDA, candidates are required to follow below procedures.

• Visit the official registration portal https://deep.nitda.gov.ng/
• Scroll to mid-section of the page to locate the application button or tab here to go directly feel the application form.
• While on the application page, individuals are required to fill the form with their correct information having met the requirements needed for registration.
• When done filling the form, you will need to tab on the “Submit Application” button located underneath the application form to send in your entry.

Congratulations to you as you’ve successfully send in your application for review.

Furthermore, you will be contacted by NITDA using the details you provided during registration.
